about the artist
I am currently studying for my Master of Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Scotland.I like to paint from imagination trying to capture the intensity of the awe inspiring majesty of the Highlands. This is highlighted by over exaggerating rock faces and creating piercing light rays through breaking clouds, reflection and the tranquillity of distant springs and lochs. Mankind or any human creations rarely feature in my work. It’s the awe of nature, and the spirit of the sublime, that have been the focus of my work throughout the year. This study has certainly been an enjoyable experience, so much so that I am aiming to develop my work and interests further during the summer and through my Masters course this year.
